Improving the quality of well casing in the oil fields of the Republic of Tatarstan

Article preview

Provision of high quality of well cementing is a multifactorial problem, and the solution to this problem should be approached comprehensively. During the analysis and generalization of actual geological, geophysical and technical-technological data on the oil fields of the Republic of Tatarstan the main reasons of low-quality cementing of wells were revealed: - non-observance of design solutions - violation of technological operations; - absence or destruction of cement behind the production string; - absence of chemical reagents for cement slurry; - low provision of technological casing equipment. In order to improve the quality of well casing and to fully or partially eliminate the above drawbacks, the technology of forming impermeable cement screen in the wellbore area during construction and repair of wells and technical means (TS) for external casing string tooling have been developed with the participation of the author of the article. As a result of applying the technology and using TC at the oil fields of the Republic of Tatarstan significant economic and technological effects were achieved.

Peculiarities of chromium, nickel, copper, and noble metal distribution in soils of Ganinsky area (Burakovsky stratified massif of Karelia)

Article preview

The data of the prospecting-geochemical surveys carried out in 2000 in the Ganinsky area of the Burakovsky-Aganozersky massif of Karelia served as the material for the present work. The purpose of the surveys was to develop methods of geochemical prospecting for platinum-metal mineralization using thermo-magnetic geochemical and metal-organic soil forms methods and to identify local anomalies with good prospects for detecting platinum-metal mineralization. As a result of testing various options for processing of prospecting and geochemical data, it was proved that the best result gives the application of the methodology aimed at the fullest possible account of the varying landscape conditions. Two promising areas are identified, one of which is predicted to have low-sulfide platinum-metal mineralization, and the other has maximum concentrations of chromium, nickel and copper in soils.

Geodynamics and hydrogeochemistry of natural water systems of Krasnoleninsk oil and gas bearing area

Article preview

The data on the location of the study area (western part of the West Siberian megabasin), hydrogeological stratification with separation of three overlapping basins - Cenozoic, Mesozoic, and Paleozoic. The issues of paleohydrogeological reconstructions with separation of piezomaximum and piezominimum zones are considered. It is shown that as a result of the evolutionary development of the Mesozoic hydrogeological basin, the studied area has turned into a regional piezomaximum zone due to the thick strata of clayey Neocomian deposits and is located within the development of infiltration, elision lithostatic and elision geodynamic water pressure systems. Groundwater has different ion-salt composition. The processes of elision water exchange, actively occurring in the study area, are closely connected with oil-and-gas formation and oil-and-gas accumulation.

Assessment of the technical condition of main gas pipelines based on physical and mathematical modeling

Article preview

The object of this study is the steel main gas pipelines of the Lentransgaz company in the Leningrad Region. In the process of operation of gas pipelines is very important to control their condition. As a result of theoretical research, a physical and mathematical model of the geoelectric system gas pipeline-ground, which describes the distribution of cathodic protection leakage current density in the near-tube space based on the solution of the inverse problem of electrometry, is developed. When solving the inverse problem, the leakage currents are determined on the basis of ground measurements data, the values of which characterize the pipeline condition to a sufficiently accurate extent.

Computer calculation of diamond cutting tool parameters

Article preview

The main points of creating a computer program for calculating the main parameters of diamond cutting tools are considered. Creation of the computer program makes it possible to consider practically all possible construction variants and all the variety of mining and geological conditions when designing a diamond drilling tool. With traditional design the tool designer has an opportunity to consider only two or three design versions at the design stage. This does not allow creating a tool optimally suited to the conditions of the work. It is possible to solve this problem and create an effective diamond drilling tool only with the help of computer-aided design.

Specific features of rock massif deformation in the support pressure zone

Article preview

The manifestations of rock pressure are evaluated according to the results of rock deformation studies in the workings of faces No. 905, 909, 910 in the Polysaevsky-1 formation. The results of measurements of vertical convergence between the ground reapers and anchor rods in the roof of the diagonal furnaces of faces No. 909 and 910 allow us to talk about the uncharacteristic shift of the rock massif. This can be confirmed by the results of the previously measured stresses in the coal massif, carried out with high-modulus photoelastic sensors, installed in the ventilation drift of the working face No. 905.

Formation of temporarily non-working side of the cut

Article preview

Principle schemes of forming steep temporarily non-working wall (TNW) of the section differ by the order of formation of steep TNW, the angle of the working wall slope by stages of its development, the volume of overburden and mining operations in each stage. Each scheme corresponds to certain technologies of mining works, which determine possible terms of TNW formation. The use of these schemes in pure form is not always effective. Recommended to use the scheme of formation of steep TNW of section should provide as much as possible uniform mode of mining works on periods of formation of a wall. In this case, a constant amount of mining and transport equipment will be required for the whole period of steep TNW formation. The way out of this situation can be found by using combined schemes of steep TNW formation, which are a combination of the above-mentioned.

Study of inorganic salt deposition processes and selection of inhibitors to combat this phenomenon

Article preview

Deposition of inorganic salts in the reservoir, downhole pumping equipment, oilfield communications and oil treatment equipment remains one of the important problems of oil production. This phenomenon is associated with changes in the salt composition of produced water in the field as well as changes in the thermal and pressure conditions in the near-wellbore formation zone and process equipment. Ways of quantitative comparison of the protective effect of inhibitors on the deposition of salts are considered.

Development of alluvial deposits by means of small-scale mechanization

Article preview

Due to the long-term and intensive development of the richest deposits with favorable operating conditions, the extraction of mineral resources is increasingly shifting to areas with harsh climatic and mining and geological conditions, where there is no infrastructure of any kind. The balance reserves of many deposits are often insufficient for their profitable industrial development. Therefore, the possibility of development of placer deposits by means of small-scale mechanization is considered. An analytical model is worked out, allowing to carry out the choice of the mining method, technologies and methods of conducting works are offered. High economic efficiency of application of the developed equipment complexes in real conditions is demonstrated.

Technique for evaluating the tightness of hydraulic props of mechanized roof supports

Article preview

The technique of an estimation of tightness of hydraulic props of mechanical supports which is reduced to the decision of two basic problems is offered: definition of a gap between the piston and the cylinder in a place of a seal and revealing of character of deformation of a seal in this gap under the influence of pressure of a working liquid. The character of seal operation and determination of gaps are established by means of the finite element method as a result of solving the model of joint interaction of seal, cylinder, piston, rod, gland bush and working fluid taking into account material properties and real working conditions of the hydraulic prop.

Development of a microdiffusion burner design for the combustion of water-coal suspensions in coal mine heating systems

Article preview

Water-coal slurries (WCS) are not much inferior to such fuels as oil, fuel oil and gas in their energy characteristics. Their combustion is characterized by high environmental safety, low ash content and high combustion efficiency. For efficient combustion of such fuels special requirements should be imposed on burner devices. Thus, the design of these devices should provide supply not only of fuel itself, but also special channels for supplying air as an oxidizer and atomizer and gas for ignition and maintaining combustion in the initial period. The calculation of basic values, describing the process of fuel combustion, the basic geometrical parameters for burner design and justification of design characteristics of a microdiffusion gas burner for WVS combustion are given.

The problem of increasing the clearances in the bed frames of the working stands of rolling mills

Article preview

Improvement of production efficiency and quality of rolled products is directly related to the reliability of parts and components of the main equipment. One of the problems, typical for the bed frames of rolling mills, is the wear of the contact surfaces of roll pads and the inner surface of the beds. Wear of surfaces leads to increased clearances, which, in its turn, leads to various violations in the adjustment of work stands: misalignment of work rolls axes, misalignment of work and support rolls axes, the combined effect of misalignment of work rolls axes and misalignment of work and support rolls axes. These effects, acting in combination, lead to the emergence of axial forces on the rolls, up to 20% of the rolling force. As a result of these forces, failure of roller bearings is observed. There are various methods to control gaps occurring in the system "roll cushion - bed frame", both technological and constructive.

At the first stage of the studies we consider the specificity of the belt stressed state at the transitional section of the conveyor, give the basic mathematical model describing the relationship between the transverse tensioning of the belt and the distance from the beginning of the transitional section of the belt to the end reel. We present the calculation scheme for determining the shape of the belt loaded with loose material and for the belt without any weight loads. The variants of mathematical description of physical models are offered. Preliminary results of the experiments are presented.

Optimization of the parameters of the linear section of a tubular belt conveyor

Article preview

For more than 20 years, designers have been developing a tubular belt conveyor with significant advantages. Presented is the design of a tubular belt conveyor based on a belt conveyor designed by OAO "VNIIPTMASH". Loading of bulk cargo in the tubular belt conveyor is carried out at a speed close to the speed of the belt, which reduces dust formation. On the track, the belt is coiled into a pipe by support rollers. The belt with the load coiled into the pipe can bend both horizontally and vertically. At present, the problem of traction calculation of a tubular belt conveyor has not been solved, because the coefficient of resistance to movement of such a belt inside the roller support is not known. Determination of the coefficient of resistance to belt movement will allow to perform traction and strength calculations of the conveyor belt.

Development of the design of the electric transfer carriage of a tunnel dryer in the conditions of ZAO SPA Keramika

Article preview

At the present time there is an acute problem of uninterrupted supply of quality building material with a simultaneous reduction in its cost. In this regard, enterprises in the construction industry strive to ensure that their products meet the ever-increasing requirements of builders. The task of developing new technological solutions to improve safety, reduce labor intensity and time of work is very urgent. Manual labor exists in every company, and it is the most injury-prone and low-skilled, so the minimization of this type of work is a priority. This is especially true for ZAO Keramika, which provides bricks to about 30% of the construction market of the Northwest region of Russia. Kupchino brick is an environmentally friendly material derived from the firing of natural clay and natural sand.

The aim of this work is to create a methodology for building a knowledge base in a fuzzy environment of information-analytical complex of dispatcher control of gas flows as an analytical expression for assessing the probability of the system going beyond the permissible limits. Currently, the main thing in decision-making is the qualification of the operational dispatch personnel, software to support decision-making so far does not exist. Making any decision is inherently a multidimensional problem, and the factor space contains "fuzzy" information. Methodology for building information-analytical complex provides as the main step - the creation of a knowledge base of decision-making in the form of an analytical expression. The equation is necessary to build a fuzzy logic regulator in the intelligent ACS of decision-making in gas flow management, and can also be used to create an "adviser to the dispatcher" and simulator.

Carbonation factors for low degree of decomposition of aluminate solutions

Article preview

Theoretically substantiated multistage carbonization process and changes of solid phase formation conditions at different stages of aluminate solutions decomposition. As a result of laboratory studies adequate mathematical dependences of process parameters on technologically significant factors were obtained. Their analysis made it possible to establish the decisive contribution of the technological mode of induction period to formation of the fractional composition of aluminum hydroxide precipitate. It was also shown that the increase in the yield of large fractions of synthetic gibbsite of spherulitic structure is provided by increasing the supersaturation of aluminate solution associated with an increase in the CO 2 content in the gas phase and blowing rate at all investigated temperature values.

System assessment of secondary mineral resources in the conditions of OAO Gaysky MMP

Article preview

The main types of waste from mining and metallurgical production, used for backfilling of pits and mines, backfilling of tailings dams, road ballasting, in the production of building materials, crushed stone, for the re-extraction of various components, are considered. A brief description of the Gaisky Mining and Processing Combine as an independent technogenic deposit and information on the percentage content of useful components in the accumulated wastes are given. A methodology for systematic environmental and economic cadastral evaluation of secondary mineral resources is proposed. It is proposed to evaluate secondary mineral resources from the position of the national economy (national-economic assessment) and from the position of commercial interests of the enterprise (commercial assessment). The criterion indicator, in our opinion, should be the economic effect on the national economy.

Development of consumer lending at the regional level and at the level of financial centers of Russia

Article preview

Abroad, consumer lending is one of the most powerful segments of the banking business. In Russia, the real applicants for bank credit are citizens with incomes over $ 500 per month. The potential of the lending market is several billion dollars a year, and the bank share, even at the minimum interest rate of 10-12% per annum in foreign currency is estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars. The development of consumer lending challenges banks to find the best balance between a number of contradictory requirements. Today, customers pay more attention to speed and convenience, especially when it comes to small amounts. However, there is a problem: the less time is given to checking the credit application, the higher is the probability that risky credits will increase. The credit scoring system, which is becoming the key element of the bank's decision-making system for lending to both private clients and small businesses, helps to solve this problem in the best way.

Problems of technology for underground isolation of radioactive waste

Article preview

The requirements to the technology of radioactive waste isolation in the spent underground space are formulated as well as the main problems of creating the safest waste disposal technology, which would ensure the safety of the repository and its biological safety in the distant future, up to the 300-year term of the waste's ecological hazard preservation. The design and construction of underground repositories should be carried out in such a way that after the closure of the repository in the future there will be no need for any work to maintain the structure or its repair. Thus, one of the main problems is predicting the future behavior of the repository under the influence of constantly changing external influences.

Functions and tasks of the state in the field of management of the geological exploration industry

Article preview

The main problems of the geological exploration industry are considered: the lack of financing and imperfections in the mining and tax legislation, which do not create favorable conditions for attracting investment in this sector. State regulation of the development and use of the mineral resource base is considered as the main criterion for solving these problems. A number of measures, the adoption of which will lead to a more effective system of subsoil use, are proposed. These are, first of all, reforms in the field of taxation, licensing, insurance market. It is necessary to develop a new national mineral resource policy in the presence of the strictest legislative control by the state.
