Abstract

High efficiency of non-ionic surfactant (polynol) based on alkylphenol-formaldehyde resins as a multifunctional oilfield reagent is shown. The results of its tests on various natural oil emulsions, on inhibition of paraffin deposits, on corrosion inhibition, on reduction of viscosity of oil systems are presented. The use of the reagent as a wax deposition inhibitor prevents the formation of persistent oil emulsions. In all tests the effectiveness of polynol was compared with the effectiveness of known reagents.
