Determination of investment efficiency at realization of ore quarry projects

On an international level, economic assessment of deposits is done through dynamic methods which take the time factor for investments and returns, i.e. the time value of money, into account and are based on compound interest formulae. This study will only deal with simple cash flow calculations a geologist or mining engineer will have to make in the prefeasibility stage of a project in order to establish whether an exploration project worth pursuing.

Method of structural-geological forecast at processing of space images in the task of optimization of search for mineral deposits

It includes the procedures of point of extremum tracing, rotation and generalization with using angular and dispersion criteria. The result is the set of structure-tectonic maps of different level of generalization. These maps are additionally processed for discovering the factors of structural control of ore objects of different ranges. Here the leading criteria are the periodicity, the areas of discordant relationship, and the singularities on the branches of logarithmic spirals. Influence of processes of hypergenic metamorphization of technogenic massifs on the degree of their environmental danger for the environment

The author studied different technogenic massifs of various geneses containing sulphide sulphur and the research results have shown that under the influence of natural and man-caused factors mineral waste is subjected to weathering processes and transformation into new crystalchemical phases, which facilitates dispersion of toxic elements and their migration with ground waters. Studies help to establish that acid rock drainage formation and migration of pollutants is determined by physical and chemical metamorphization processes in infiltration waters. Ecological hazards from sulphide-bearing rock massifs are most adequately estimated with application of the acid indexing express-method.

An optimal screen formation technology is selected as the result of research carried out in test areas.

In the given work the way of an estimation geomechanical effect of additional activization of deformation process in a file of rocks and on a terrestrial surface is stated at a construction of two and more parallel tunnels on the basis theoretical decisions of mechanics the continuous environment. Similar quantitative and quality standard of this effect at calculations stress has received a wide circulation in mechanics of underground constructions and other applied areas. In mine surveying calculations displacement and deformations mainly empirical approaches are traditionally used. In work the analysis of conformity of physical and chemical and explosive characteristics of conversion explosive materials is submitted to requirements of mountain manufacture. Airconditioning characteristics is proved due to that, efficiency and safety of their application is reached.

Origin of gases, fluids and supermelonites at opening of a rock massif at great depths

The author proposes that the described phenomenon can occur under the effect of a mechanical energy flow through aligning of defects (nonconductive channels for this flow) along field force lines. A mechanism of discontinuous self-decomposition of geomaterial under the effect of rock pressure, i.e. external power source, was developed basing on these effects. Another thermodynamics is needed to explain the CNF (cold nuclear fusion) phenomenon which would be based on balance of in- and out-flows of energies (balance of sinks and sources) rather than on conservation laws.

In exploitation of deep open-pit one of the main problems is increasing stability pit wall during making it in final position. As is generally known, to provide over contour massive in safety is used one of widespread blasting method – the pre-split blasting. In given work is proposed to use gel explosive Gelpor GP-2У to make a quality reflection crack for Kostomuksha ore open pit geological structure. Were made a calculation of basic parameters in pre-blasting method with using gel explosive Gelpor GP-2У and given estimation of calculation result with experimental data, using on Kostomuksha ore open pi in pre-split blasting.
