Model of energy release during explosion of gel-based PVM

Based on experimental data, one has suggested the model of energy release in blasting of industrial explosive materials on gel base. The model describes the specific feature of the gel explosives, i.e. the changeable trotyl equivalent.

Effectiveness of application of gel-based PVM in engineering

Changes in the explosive characteristics of gelpor associated with its aging have been studied. The changes consist in the decrease of energy release of "old" gelpor up to 2 times in comparison with "fresh" one. Recommendations on application of gelpor in engineering are given.
