- Authors:
- A. G. Protosenya
- M. A. Karasev
- E. G. Kozin
The results of in-situ measurements of vertical displacements of the tunnel lining of the St. Petersburg subway are presented. The 3d-model of interaction between soil and tunnel lining subjected to initial geostatic stress state is considered, and vertical displacements of the lining along the tunnel are used as an additional boundary condition. Numerical modeling of the stress-strain state of the overpass tunnel lining in the zone of their mutual influence
- Authors:
- P. A. Demenkov
Numerical modeling by finite element method of stress-strain state of lining of subway tunnels in the zone of their mutual influence has been carried out. The tunnels are not parallel to each other, have different depths and were driven at different times. Two experimental sites were selected for modeling, corresponding to the sites where field observations were made. The use of the finite element method allowed to solve the problem in a volumetric setting and to take into account the complex configuration of the tubes, the layering of the massif and the stages of tunnel construction.

Calculation of the parameters of the anchorage passport for the preparatory workings with the wire rope anchors in the conditions of the Vorkuta Mine
- Authors:
- A. A. Romashkevich
The practice of anchoring roofs with anchors is based mainly on an empirical approach - the trial and error method. The theory of anchoring is more descriptive than mathematical. Due to the complexity of geological, mining and technical conditions of underground workings, it is very difficult to describe mathematically the destruction of the roof of the workings reinforced with anchors. Nevertheless, even qualitative identification of the factors causing the destruction of the edge parts of the coal seam and, as a consequence, the roof collapse, can provide justification for the development of the anchoring passport and safety improvement.

The article summarizes the main factors that should be taken into account when developing a methodology to take into account the relationship between the geomechanical state of the rock formation and its filtration properties. The main approaches to solving such problems and their disadvantages are analyzed. The results of the research allow us to establish a functional relationship between the deformation-stress state of the rock formation and its gas permeability. The relationship is based on the analysis of volumetric deformation of the formation and its influence on the filtration characteristics of the medium.

The main natural and anthropogenic factors determining the nature and mechanics of fractures of deep underground tunnel structures lining are considered. On the basis of the conducted research in underground excavations the systematization of the main forms of destruction is carried out. The composition of water extracts prepared from the destroyed concrete and various forms of neoplasms was investigated. Determination of the number and types of microorganisms - micro-mycetes, bacteria and actinomycetes - was carried out. Based on the results of experimental studies, a conclusion is made about the role of biocorrosion in the destruction of tubing and waterproofing jacket. Particular attention is paid to the impact of pressure water of the Lower Kotlin aquifer, which creates favorable conditions for the development of microbiota and its aggressive effect on structural materials.

Influence of engineering, geological and geo-ecological conditions on deformation and corrosion processes in transportation tunnels in St. Petersburg
- Authors:
- O. Yu. Aleksandrova
- A. V. Shidlovskaya
The main natural and anthropogenic factors forming the specificity of environmental conditions in the underground environment, which affects the development of deformations and corrosion processes of transportation tunnels, are considered. Natural factors include radon intake, the presence of buried bogs and marshy rocks. Technogenic factors of underground space pollution are household dumps, sewage system leaks, cemeteries. On the example of some transit tunnels it is shown that engineering-geological and hydrogeological conditions, as well as geo-ecological situation determine the peculiarities of functioning of these structures. It is noted that the destruction of tunnel materials occurs mainly due to the biochemical factor.

This paper first of all examines the notion of an equilibrium price for a mineral cоmmodity market. It draws the conclusion that microeconomic theory alone cannot define such a price. It then recapitulates on the reasons for price fluctuations and shows that one can at least identify a floor price and a ceiling price when it proves impossible to identify an equilibrium price. To conclude, it proposes a method for price forecasting, based on a prior analysis of the relevant industrial structure involved.

New technologies to ensure safety in mining in Russia
Mining is closely connected with the impact of mankind on the environment for the purpose of supply with primary resources. When ultimate production of mineral resources is more than 6,5 billion tonns, total losses comprise 2,5 billion tonns: discharge of rupugnant substances into the air is about 50 million tonns, effluents discharge is 2 billion m3 and more than 8 billion tonns solid wastes are stored on the surface. By scientific school of SPMI series of measures aimed at protectoin of environment from harmful impact of technological processes during open-cast mining and underground operation of coal, which is the most popular power resource for today is carried out. In future coal will be one of the main resources, as it’s supply may satisfy the needs of all branches of industry for a long period.

Cases such as a train standing motionless with the engine running, train movement towards and against the direction of airflow, and cases of multiple trains in the tunnel are analyzed. The processes influencing the formation of reductive-oxidizing and acid-alkaline conditions and viability of various physiological groups of microorganisms in RS are considered. Peculiarities of destruction of foundation brickwork, reinforced concrete and cast-iron lining of some transportation tunnels are considered. A comparative assessment of the influence of water extracts selected from fractured building materials and new formations on the chemical composition of tunnel linings is given. The metabolism of various bacteria and microfungi leading to the destruction of building materials is characterized.
