Influence of external factors on the investment activity of a gas company

Article preview

An analysis of the economic situation in the mineral resource complex of the country as a whole and the gas industry in particular is given. The Russian economy is openly exporting raw materials and to a large extent imports goods of the manufacturing industry. In the gas complex of the country, which is a part of the national fuel and energy complex, as Russia ssia enters the globalization processes, both new threats to its stable development and new opportunities for economic growth arise. The country needs to form a unified state policy in the field of mineral development, which should be based on global principles and take into account the peculiarities of the Russian economy. We propose measures of state regulation in the mining industry, capable of stimulating investment activity of the gas industry.

Modular complexes and the formation of design and engineering solutions in coal seam development

Article preview

Modern means of complex mechanization of mining operations are effectively used only under favorable conditions. For this reason, the forced restructuring of the coal industries in many countries, which is accompanied by the closure of mines and entire basins, is not possible. We are searching for new alternative means of integrated mechanization of mining operations. Developed modular complexes of selective action are promising for the development of coal seams in difficult mining and geological conditions.

Rational placement of teeth in the peripheral rings of the drill bit cones

Article preview

The work of the carbide peripheral armament of roller cones is analyzed by graphoanalytical method. It is shown that the task of ensuring the effective operation of this armature remains relevant. The main factors reducing the efficiency are the formation of slats on the peripheral and pre-peripheral parts of the bottom hole and spiral protrusions on the borehole wall. A solution to this problem is proposed and substantiated by means of pairwise placement of teeth in double-row peripheral crowns in combination with additional undercutting teeth on the periphery of the cones.

Modeling and designing system of hydraulic lift of mined rock at submarine development of mineral raw materials

Article preview

One of complicated aspects in designing and developing of deep-water complexes is estabfishing economical and safe systems of elevating carrying out transportation of valuable fossil from underwater face up to aqueous surface to transport vessel. Very perspective for elevating of rock mass are submarine modules with submersible camera, connected with transport piping, along which the transportation of mineral raw in the form of mixtures is carried out. To practically unknown questions, directly associated with the possibility of designing and building up of submersible cameras, the calculation of the parameters of the vertical elevating of rock mass with higher depths can be applied.

Improvement of the shear unit for sterile sampling of ice core

Article preview

Conventional methods of cleaning the surface of a rock sample by taking a microbiological sample from it when working with ice are unsuitable. A method of sterile sampling from the inner part of the ice core is proposed, in which the outer part of the sample serves as a reliable screen protecting the sample from extraneous microflora. The main thing is to obtain an uncontaminated section of the ice surface. This is possible if such an area is obtained by shearing and is not in contact with the instrument. The design of the unit device USL-3M is proposed, which allows to obtain a clean core chipping surface at 3-4 mm depth of knife penetration into ice and at least 10-15 mm thickness of the outer layer of ice, which is not included into the sample.

Environmental consequences of rock salt extraction by the borehole method

Article preview

Due to the development of industry in the 1970s and the demand for chemical raw materials, the exploitation of the salt deposit near Kraków began with the borehole method. Mining operations in a very complex geological area with a change in the exploitation system led subsequently to the formation of a system of connected chambers, disturbance of hydrogeological conditions in the borehole, phenomena of land surface subsidence and other types of deformations. The characteristics of the exploitation of the salt deposit, the volume of extraction, as well as its consequences are presented.

Experimental evaluation of wear resistance of spur gears

Article preview

Extensive opportunities to influence the properties of involute gears are available with combined displacement of tooth profiles - a combination of radial and tangential displacements, including the use of cutting tools with a standard initial contour. In particular, by combined displacement, the bending strength and wear resistance of cylindrical gear teeth can be increased by one and a half to two times, which is commensurate with material replacement.

Technological and dynamic studies of new designs of vibrating crushers

Article preview

The principal and constructive features of vibroinertial crushers are considered, the fields of their application, new approaches to their calculation and design are indicated. The considered equipment is intended both for selective opening of rocks and for disintegration of any hard, brittle materials. Selective opening of crystallites with minimum overgrinding is achieved by applying to the bulk layer of material of strictly dosed compressive forces of inertial nature and impulse vibration shear loads, causing a gradual softening of interfacial bonds. The main compressive and shear forces in these machines are created by centrifugal forces of inertia, and the material, being destroyed in the layer, is subjected to intensive vibration action.

Energy service life of the plain bearing

Article preview

Design schemes of pneumatic, hydraulic and drilling machines with combined drive, used in mines and mines, mainly have mechanical drives of drilling rod rotation. This refers to machines of domestic and foreign production. A considerable part of failures of drilling equipment occurs exactly due to the fault of rotary units. One of the weak points of the design is often the transmission output shaft support unit made on the basis of plain bearing. The energy and life of such a sliding bearing is limited by the limit value of wear, leading to the occurrence of unacceptable misalignment of the gear wheels’ axes. The expression for determining the energy resource of the plain bearing from the condition of permissible volume wear of the liner material is proposed.

Development, research and implementation of environmental equipment

Article preview

More than half of solid minerals are extracted in Russia by open pit mining. The development of large deposits is usually carried out by quarries of considerable depth, which is constantly increasing. Increasing the depth of quarries, as a rule, contributes to the deterioration of working conditions and atmospheric air pollution both in and around the quarries. A brief review of special quarry fans, designed for the organization of artificial ventilation of quarries by means of a brushless method, as well as installations for reclamation of slopes of rock dumps, is given.
