Optimization of the parameters of drum mills

Abstract
Extraction and processing of mineral resources in Russia will be one of the foundations of our country's economy in the 21st century. Among the tasks that are especially urgent nowadays for industries processing minerals is minimizing energy consumption. A significant part of energy in processing minerals is spent on their crushing. Today, the main grinding equipment in the mining industries are drum mills. Therefore, an important, if not the main, direction to reduce energy consumption in the processing of minerals should be recognized the improvement of the design of exactly drum mills. The analysis of the current state and directions of improvement of drum mills are given.
