Determination of suitable distance between methane drainage stations in Tabas mechanized coal mine (Iran) based on theoretical calculations and field investigation
A large amount of gas is emitted during underground mining processes, so mining productivity decreases and safety risks increase. Efficient methane drainage from the coal seam and surrounding rocks in underground mines not only improves safety but also leads to higher productivity. Methane drainage must be performed when the ventilation air cannot dilute the methane emissions in the mine to a level below the allowed limits. The cross-measure borehole method is one of the methane drainage methods that involves drilling boreholes from the tailgate roadway to an un-stressed zone in the roof or floor stratum of a mined seam. This is the main method used in Tabas coal mine N 1. One of the effective parameters in this method is the distance between methane drainage stations, which has a direct effect on the length of boreholes required for drainage. This study was based on the measurement of ventilation air methane by methane sensors and anemometers placed at the longwall panel as well as measuring the amount of methane drainage. Moreover, in this study, the obtained and analyzed data were used to determine the suitable distance between methane drainage stations based on the cross-measure borehole method. In a field test, three borehole arrangements with different station distances in Panel E4 of Tabas coal mine N 1 were investigated. Then, the amounts of gas drained from these arrangements were compared with each other. The highest methane drainage efficiency was achieved for distances in the range of 9-12 m between methane drainage stations.

Estimation of the influence of fracture parameters uncertainty on the dynamics of technological development indicators of the Tournaisian-Famennian oil reservoir in Sukharev oil field
Issues related to the influence of reservoir properties uncertainty on oil field development modelling are considered. To increase the reliability of geological-hydrodynamic mathematical model in the course of multivariate matching, the influence of reservoir properties uncertainty on the design technological parameters of development was estimated, and their mutual influence was determined. The optimal conditions for the development of the deposit were determined, and multivariate forecasts were made. The described approach of history matching and calculation of the forecast of technological development indicators allows to obtain a more reliable and a less subjective history match as well as to increase the reliability of long-term and short-term forecasts.

Comprehensive assessment and analysis of the oil and gas potential of Meso-Cenozoic sediments in the North Caucasus
- Authors:
- Igor I. Bosikov
- Andrey V. Мaier
At the present stage, the development of the oil and gas industry in the Russian Federation is impossible without replenishing the raw material base, so the urgent task is to conduct investigations, prospecting and evaluation of oil and gas bearing capacity prospects in undiscovered areas. The purpose of the investigations is to analyze facies and thicknesses, choose the methodology of prospecting and exploration in reservoirs, make a comprehensive assessment of oil and gas bearing capacity prospects based on experimental investigations and construct a map of oil and gas bearing capacity prospects of the studied sediment structure. The methodology of the conducted investigations was to identify and trace zones of increased fracturing by qualitative interpretation of time seismic sections. Methods for qualitative interpretation of time seismic sections, the model of physical, chemical and geochemical criteria developed by I.A.Burlakov, gas and geochemical surveying and correlation analysis were used in the investigations. A number of prospecting criteria, established based on the analysis of reference seismic materials on well-studied areas in comparison with the results of well tests, were also used. Structural plan for forecast prospects of oil and gas bearing capacity in the studied area was made; zonal and local objects with prospects for oil and gas were identified. Graphical plotting of Eh and pH concentrations distribution and various gas and geochemical indicators allowed identifying zones of possible oil and gas accumulations and starting their detailed survey. Processing of gas and geochemical materials by means of software allowed efficient assessment of prospects for oil and gas bearing capacity of the investigated objects.

Priority parameters of physical processes in a rock mass when determining the safety of radioactive waste disposal
- Authors:
- V. S. Gupalo
Consideration of geodynamic, hydrogeochemical, erosion and other quantitative characteristics describing evolutionary processes in a rock mass is carried out when choosing a geological formation for the disposal of radioactive waste. However, the role of various process parameters is not equal for safety ensuring and additional percentages of measurement accuracy are far from always being of fundamental importance. This makes it necessary to identify various types of indicators of the geological environment that determine the safety of radioactive waste disposal for their detailed study in the conditions of the burial site. An approach is proposed to determine the priority indicators of physical processes in the rock mass that determine the safety of disposal of various types of radio active waste and require increased attention (accuracy, frequency of measurements) when determining in - situ conditions. To identify such factors, we used the sensitivity analysis method that is a system change in the limits of variable values during securty modeling in order to assess their impact on the final result and determine the role of various physical processes in ensuring safety.

For rural settlements in Russia today is characterized by poor living conditions, their ac- complishment should be engaged in local government. However, the system of land registration at the municipality does not perform all assigned to municipal functions. We develop a system of indicators of land records, which is implemented using MS Access.

Numerical assessment of stress-strain field in vicinity of large open pit mine taking into account geomechanical, geological and mining factors
The results of modeling of rock mass stress state in the vicinity of large open pit mine using finite-elements method are represented. The model allows to take into account the influence of large-scale fractures. The initiation of boundary conditions is based on the results of determination of stress parameters in situ. The locations of risk areas near the slope are defined.

Provision of safe coal mining with due account оf cleanup works at adjacent seams
- Authors:
- M. A. Ilyashov
During planning of mining works with coal series it is important to take into consideration mining conditions of each mine layer, to determine presence of natural and technogenic abnormal areas at its place and to appreciate their potential level of influence on the increase of rock pressure manifestations in the development and productive workings. In comparable conditions the most negative manifestations of rock pressure can be observed in roadways of neighboring low layer, when they are disposed in range of mutual action of abnormal areas of natural and technogenic origins.

Intangible assets are the most important reserve for efficiency upgrading of enterprises engaged in the field of mineral resources utilization
- Authors:
- E. A. Shelkov
The role of intangible assets in activities of enterprises engaged in the field of this country’s mineral resources utilization is considered. Their insignificant specific weight in assets is pointed out as well as their slight reactivation in economic turnover and respectively in drawing of profit by domestic enterprises of Mineral and Raw Materials Complex. Basic reasons of the fact why at present intangible assets are one of little used reserves for increasing efficiency of enterprises carrying out activities in the field of mineral resources utilization are analyzed. Principal directions of intangible assets of MRMC enterprises record keeping, evaluation and use are suggested on the basis of gained world experience.
