Multicriteria decision making based on marginal criteria concessions and rates of substitution

Article preview

To obtain weight coefficients for a linear convolution of partial criteria, expert evaluation of rates of substitution is proposed. The notion of rate of substitution is less subjective and more straightforward than that of «normalized indicator weight». The drawback of linear convolutions, ubiquitous in scalarization of vector criteria, is their lack of sensitivity to the deviation of vectors under comparison from some reference (target) vector. Power Weighted Mean (PWM) scalarization procedure, named harmonization, encourages approach to the ratio of indicators of a target vector as well as improvement of separate components of vector criterion. To obtain the parameters of a PWM, experts evaluate every indicator’s marginal concession. The later is defined as the greatest deviation of the indicator towards deterioration from its target value, which can be compensated for the account of ideal values of all other indicators. The possibility to realize convolution in the form of a PWM, providing at the same time the set rates of substitution for the target vector, the set marginal concession for the indicator with the greatest weight and acceptable values of marginal concessions for other indicators, is shown. Examples of forming an integral criterion of performance excellence for blooms, slabs, and bigots manufacturing processes are presented.

Combinatorial synthesis of flexible flowsheets for ore enrichment

Article preview

Application of logical-combinatorial approach for enumeration and synthesis of flexible ore enrichment flowsheets is considered. The set of possible enrichment flowsheets is represented at first implicitly as the superstructure generalizing knowledge of the area of synthesis. For creation of flexible ore enrichment flowsheets such flowsheets have to have the optimum level of redundancy allowing quickly to recustomize them according to economic feasibility. Algorithms for generation of flowsheets with different level of redundancy are offered.

Classification of the finite algebra concepts for the description of neural network elements

Article preview

Contemporary information systems are characterized not only by the large volume of data stored, but also by its complexity. This complexity manifests in various interconnections this data holds. Thus, complex data is presented as a set of some basic items and a body of connections linking the data items. Complex information systems are formalized with the concepts of graph, mograph and, lately, neural network. Classification of the finite algebra concepts, such as correspondence and relation (ternary or binary), is examined. Specific kinds of relations and their properties are intended to use for the description of neural network elements.

Method of identifying models of electronic equipment failure of automation control of dynamic systems

Article preview

In the article the effective non-parametric method to identify patterns of failures of electronic equipment automation of dynamic systems. The essence of the offered method is that on the small selections presented in the form of a variation row, practically always it is possible to find such transformation as a result of which the statistics which isn't depending on parameters of distribution of population will turn out. It is advisable to define function of distribution of such statistics as a result of statistical modeling if analytical construction it is complicated.

The choice of data relations storing in informational systems

Article preview

Storing and processing data of mineral resources usually imply large amounts of data. So increasing data search operation speed is the subject of a notable interest.  User of any relational data base, as a rule, imagines it as a set of normalized relations (tables). These tables, at the physical level, can be represented in the different ways.  The paper is dedicated to the analysis and comparison of cortege (traditional) and domain (transposed) ways of storing data relations.

Representation and processing of knowledge in information automated systems of intelligent field

Article preview

Effective management in the oil and gas industry is associated with an increased degree of automation, the further improvement of the information systems and technologies in the frame-work of the concept of «intelligent field». Complexity of construction of automated intelligent information systems associated with the working out of models of representation and processing of incomplete knowledge (data). We consider an approach to the construction of a knowledge base using category theory, axiomatic formal theories and the topological Boolean algebra. The possibility to handle fuzzy information and implement the logical conclusion in the framework of the formal deductive systems.

A method of structuring the conflict interaction organizational and technical systems

Article preview

We propose a method of structuring the conflict interaction of organizational and technical systems in the market conditions for the use of a certain type (type) of the resource. The method is based on the methods of structuring and formalization of conflict interaction space through the introduction of hierarchical equivalence classes of nuclear interaction and relationship preferences on the set of states of the conflict of the «competition» and «cooperation».
