Abstract

Shakers and hydrocyclones are the most widespread for mud cleaning. A shaker disadvantage is low purification efficiency, that is it’s impossible to separate fine solid particles (sand, silt). But a hydrocyclone disadvantage is high mud loss - up to 5% per cleaning cycle. A combine use of the hydrocycloning effect and fluid filtration inside the hydrocyclone with ultrasonic influence on the filter element is suggested in this research to reduce such disadvantage.
