Filtering hydrocyclone for drilling mud cleaning with filter sounding by running transverse ultrasonic waves

Article preview

Shakers and hydrocyclones are the most common for sludge cleaning. The disadvantage of the shaker is low cleaning efficiency, i.e. it is impossible to separate small solid particles (sand, mud). The disadvantage of hydrocyclone is high losses of drilling mud - up to 5% per cleaning cycle. To reduce this disadvantage, this paper proposes a combined use of the effect of hydrocycloning and filtration of liquid inside the hydrocyclone with ultrasonic impact on the filtering element.
