The experience of drilling and blasting operations at limestone quarries in Finland is described. The comparative characterization of drilling and blasting parameters, adopted for similar conditions in Russia and Finland, is carried out. The problems inherent in explosive mining of construction materials in Russian quarries are defined. The directions for improving the parameters of drilling and blasting operations are outlined, which will improve the quality of blasting preparation.
The problems of seismic impact of explosion on a tunnel are characterized. A methodology for determining the parameters in Sadovsky's formula for seismic wave displacement velocities based on the results of measurements at one point of the velocity time histories of seismic oscillations from subsequent short-term delayed explosions is proposed. The correlation between the parameters is established. The influence of errors in the determination of parameters on the calculation of seismically safe mass of the explosive charge is estimated.
The subject of the research was the state of safety of buildings of engineering structures and the environment, located in the zone of influence of mining operations, under the influence of seismic and shock air waves from the production of blasting operations. In the research work full-scale measurements of arguments of seismic and shock air waves in the requirements of production of mass explosions and lump crushing at different blasting schemes both on mining and geological and meteorological requirements were carried out. Optimal requirements to the organization and production of blasting operations are proposed.
