Productivity of ore and placer gold deposits of the priamur province

Article preview

The article discusses ore and placer gold deposits of the Priamur province formed as a result of the Late Mesozoic collisions of geoblocks of the south-eastern framing of the Siberian craton and the Amur composite massif. Metallogenic zoning of the province displaying metallogenic zones and ore-placer sites is described. The article shows that the Priamur province is one of the main gold-bearing provinces of Russia with the level of gold ore (about 180 tons) and placer (about 1132 tons) gold. The predominance of placer gold in gold mining indicates significant opportunities to identify new gold deposits.

Modeling of geomechanical processes in ore mass using physically nonlinear model

Article preview

The aim of the article is to develop a method of forecasting the state of stress of the ore mass around excavations for ores of weak and medium strength. The paper presents experimental studies on the deformation of ore samples of low and medium strength in the forging equipment in conditions of volume stress state. A physically nonlinear model is used to describe the deformation process of ore mass. The study of the stress state of physically nonlinear ore mass around excavations of round and valuated cross-sections is performed. Values of coefficients of tangential stress concentrations on excavation contour are found for different types of ore. Solutions to physically nonlinear problems in preparatory excavations in the development of the Yakovlevskiy deposit of rich iron ore using a slicing method are considered. Methods for forecasting the stress state in rock mass around mine excavations can be used to assess their stability in the mining of ore of low and medium strength at the Yakovlevskiy iron ore deposit and in the rock and soil masses.

Formiing of structure and properties of sheet strips from magnesium alloys in the conditions of twin roll casting process

Article preview

In this article the problem of receiving high-quality cast strips from the magnesium alloys received by units of twin roll casting process in the combined methods is discussed. Production of sheets from magnesium alloys combination of casting and rolling at continuous giving of liquid melt to the rotating rolls is perspective and more economic method. Features of crystallization of magnesium alloys of AZ31 and AZ61 in a gap of rolls crystallizers depending on heat exchange conditions at change of technological parameters are considered. Due to impact on melt in forming system it is possible to provide formation of equal fine-grained structure of sheet hire without superficial defects. Development of the production technology of sheets from magnesium alloys creates possibility of their use of automobile branch as the facilitated details of bodies instead of the knots made of steel.

Method of diagnostics of diesel engines in timing of the operating cycle

Article preview

To maintain diesel engines in working condition there have been developed methods of diagnosing local crankshaft rotation developed by each cylinder. Inoperative cylinder has an angular velocity of rotation that does not respond the technical conditions. The measuring and computing complex consisting of personal computers, diagnostic complex «MotoDoc III», software and a set of sensors was developed for measuring. The results of the measurement and analysis of time parameters are displayed on the monitor screen. The software facilitates the recording of a signal, its processing and storage, as well as the ability to display the results. The method of diagnosis involves a number of stages: preparation of a diesel engine and equipment, the holding of general and local diagnosis, diagnosing. Thus, it appears possible to carry out condition monitoring of diesel engines by CIP method.

Method of controlling the temperature field on the basis of the Green's function

Article preview

At the present stage of development of automatic control systems raises the question of maintaining the set temperature objects. The authors developed MetO-wild synthesis of nonlinear regulators to stabilize the temperature field, a uniform object of management on the basis of a given error. We obtained a function of the initial heating and the mathematical modeling of the process, analyzed the results. By creating a regulator there has been designed software and hardware programming language Pascal, which allows to simulate the behavior of temperature fields in an isotropic web. It is a simulation of the temperature of the system in different configurations: with different amounts of pulsed heating sources with relay control principle. Practical results of the research suggest the possibility of constructing silicon carbide heating element made in the form of an isotropic core.

Improving the precision of manufacturing power hydraulic cylinders of powered roof supports based on a vibration-damping tooling system

Article preview

The article deals with a new system of a vibration-damping tool, the effect of which is achieved by a combination of the multi-layer principle and the use of anisotropic properties of sheet metal. Operation of such tool systems in turning operations can reduce high-frequency vibra-tions arising in the process of cutting due to the ordered disorientation of anisotropic plate texture of a multilayer modular tool holder that allows you to efficiently dissipate oscillatory wave energy at the boundary of transition between the plates of the tool holder. This method allows increasing the resistance of the tool cutting edge significantly and expanding the technological capabilities for the effective selection of cutting modes to ensure compliance with requirements for dimensional and geometric accuracy, quality of processed surfaces of powered roof supports, hydraulic units, mining machinery and equipment.

Assessment of complicated systems quality on the basis of stochastic similarity methods

Article preview

Modern development of technology is characterized by sharp complication of the tasks solved at production of products, high requirements to their reliability, short deadlines of creation and introduction in operation, aspiration to reduce costs of development of a product at satisfaction of the set conditions. The existing methods of an assessment and quality control of a product by results of tests are often inefficient in the conditions of the determined experiment or the diverse volume-limited statistical information on results of physical modeling, prototyping and tests of a small number of samples available. One of the solutions of the problem of ensuring quality and reliability at a design stage and production of products is an application of the theory of similarity and modeling. In the article the direction of development of the stochastic similarity theory for the effective solution of problems of an assessment and quality control of complicated systems in the course of their creation and operation is offered. The main theorems of similarity are formulated, the criterion of stochastic similarity in the form of the relation of functions of distribution of parameters (characteristics) of systems is theoretically reasonable and experimentally confirmed. Examples of the solution of applied tasks are given. Further development of the theory of stochastic similarity will allow us to advance in the research of non-limiting distributions which are a little described in classical probability theory and mathematical statistics,  especially in that their part which will give the chance to manipulate selections of a small volume and censored selections obtaining maximum information from them.

Application of morphological analysis to policy formulation for wastewater treatment

Article preview

Wastewater treatment, water protection and conservation, and rational water use are impor-tant elements of water management. The goals of water management are achieved by implementation of a set of appropriate policy measures creating a coherent policy. However; policy formulation is a complex decision-making problem involving a large number of stakeholders and many possible measures.  The objective of this work is to implement a method for facilitating decision-making and identify suitable policy measures for the location and operation of wastewater treatment facilities. This type of problem is very complex and is usually formulated with many contradictory requirements. It is an example of a socalled wicked problem, for which the application of traditional multi-objective decision-making approaches has clear limitations.  In this paper, Morphological Analysis (MA), an approach applicable to wicked problems, is used to structure policy measures relevant to the problem of the location and operation of waste-water treatment facilities. The application of MA enables identification and selection of stake-holders, decision-making criteria and policy measures to tackle legal, financial, technical, social and environmental aspects of wastewater treatment. A case study is presented to illustrate the iden-tification of criteria and policy measures applicable to the location and operation of wastewater treatment facilities. Use of MA allows the decision-making process of identification and selection of appropriate policy measures to be structured and accelerated while simultaneously minimizing conflicts among stakeholders.

Conservation of municipal solid waste landfills for landfill gas utilization

Article preview

The assessment of existing technologies for storage and utilization of domestic solid waste in Russia and other countries is conducted. The regions of landfill sites for household waste disposal are investigated. The results of field observations of the quality of air, surface water and ground-water are given. The method of effective isolation of a landfill surface using polymer materials is proposed. The technological process of landfill surface covering with the help of a selfpropelled screening machine is described. This method allows organizing centralized biogas utilization from landfills, improves the environmental situation in the regions of their location, reduces air pollution and practically eliminates spontaneous combustion of waste.
