Abstract

Ameliorative development of the territories formed by permafrost is accompanied by changes in the conditions of external heat exchange and, as a result, increase in the depth of seasonal thawing with manifestation of thermal subsidence, thermal erosion and other phenomena, as well as the phenomenon of waterlogging. Prevention of negative processes is achieved by eliminating barriers of drainage surfaces and creating slopes of frozen water table, increasing the depth of thawing and drainage channels.
