Abstract

The paper investigates the use of surface-active substances (surfactants) for directed change of properties and state of rocks for improvement of methods of combating mining strikes. The results of experimental drilling of unloading slots by flushing with surfactant solutions are discussed. The proposed technology allows to increase the speed of mechanical drilling of rocks by 40%. The use of surfactants as a means of rock plasticization and activation of creep and stress relaxation processes allows to reduce the potential impact hazard of rocks. Further research in this direction is justified.
