Abstract
The paper studies results of petrographic, mineralogical, and geochemical investigation of 10 typical rock and ore samples from massif of Mt. Generalskaya. Methods of optical and electron microscopy of polished sections were used for determination of the platinum group minerals. State-of-the-art analytical methods (XRFA, ICP-AES, ICP-MS and AAA) were used in petrochemical and geochemical studies to determine chemical composition and contents of trace elements in the samples. Mineralogical and geochemical peculiarities of sulphide-PGE mineralization have been revealed as the result of this investigation.
