Abstract

Introduction of titanium carbide into aluminum alloys significantly increases their strength characteristics. Synthesis of aluminum alloys containing titanium carbide by reduction of TiCl4 -CCl4 mixture by Al-Mg alloy is investigated. Simultaneous introduction of titanium carbides and scandium intermetallics into aluminum alloys is considered.
