Abstract

The development of most of the West Siberian fields is characterized with low current oil recovery factor, which is significantly lower than the project figures. Increase in oil recovery can be achieved through expensive geological and engineering measures. However, the efficiency of these measures is still considered very low. A method to select the most efficient geological and engineering measures is offered in the paper. It is based on combined analysis of detailed 3D geological and hydrodynamic models as well as analysis of the field development.
