Abstract

As it is known, the simplest and most convenient method of testing traction motors operating in open-pit mining is the method based on determining the motor heating by the RMS (effective) current. Knowledge of the effective current of electric locomotives is also necessary for a number of calculations related to the electrification of quarry railway transportation: to determine the energy losses in the electric circuit of the electric locomotive, energy losses in the contact network, etc.
