Simplified method of determination of tooth shape coefficients

Abstract
A simple graphical method of determining the shape factor of wheel teeth used in calculations of bending strength of gears has been developed. The properties of the tangent to the parabola, which is inscribed in the contour of the tooth, are taken into account in determining the dangerous cross‑section of the tooth, usually considered as a cantilever bar.
