При определении опасного сечения зубца, обычно рассматриваемого консольным брусом, приняты во внимание свойства касательной к параболе, которая вписывается в контур зубца.
A simple graphical method of determining the shape factor of wheel teeth used in calculations of fracture strength of gears is developed. The properties of the tangent to the parabola, which fits into the contour of the tooth, are taken into account in determining the dangerous cross-section of the tooth, usually considered as a cantilever bar.
