Influence of heap wall reinforcement on heap strength

Article preview

Within the area of permafrost distribution there are large reserves of minerals, which are located in rocks with both negative and positive temperatures. Exploitation of deposits of this kind has very significant peculiarities in comparison with exploitation under normal conditions.

Protective shield performance under impact loading conditions during free roof collapse

Article preview

The chamber-shield system with the use of mobile shields was proposed for the extraction of thick gentle seams. Production tests of such a system (1959) with the LG NK-1 shield confirmed the high efficiency and reliability of the mobile support of the protective type.
