Physical processes methane formation as a result of coal disintegration

Considered are the thermodynamic conditions on the surfaces generated in coal cracks in the process of its destruction. It is shown that the temperature at the surface of cracks on the stage of destruction is comparable with the melting temperature of coal and ignition of methane. Ratios for the assessment of the development phase transitions on the surfaces of coal cracks. It is shown that the rate of methane in proportion to the total surface of the pieces of coal at de-struction. To reduce the amount of methane generation it is recommended to reduce the load on the breakage face.

Effect of speed advance strike face to the environmental consequences of mining

Status of the marginal zone of the reservoir developed largely determines the conditions of interaction of mechanized roof supports of the complex and surrounding rocks, and also defines direct link with deposition of surface and gas evolution in the face cleansing. Management of rock pressure and gas emission in the excavated space during the development of coal seams at great depths

The necessity of development of new principles of approach to organization of degasification works at coal mines and directions of improvement of technological schemes at development of high-gas-bearing coal seams at great depths is grounded. The technological scheme of working out of a mining area with a direct flow ventilation scheme, with isolation of excavated space and protection of preparatory workings with cast strips from quick-hardening materials is offered.

Improvement of technological schemes of excavation areas in the development of high-gas-bearing coal seams at great depths

The modern coal mines work at great depths, characterized by high natural gas content of the massif, which increases the intensity of gas release at high rates of movement of the working faces. A brief review of the experience of operating coal mines at great depths is given. The main directions of improvement of technological schemes of mine working areas are proposed.

On the effect of humidity on the stratification of interbedded rocks

Based on the use of the special limit state condition, studies were conducted on the effect of moisture on the stratification of layered interbedded rocks for the case of overworked and then underworked interbedded rocks. The researchers paid insufficient attention to the effect of humidity on the stratification of interbedded rocks. As is known, the stratification of stratified rocks of the roof of mine workings significantly reduces their bending stiffness, which eventually leads to a significant increase in normal to the layering displacements of interlayered layers and the formation of limit zones. In this regard, prediction of the stratification of interbedded rock, with account of moisture, is important, as it is used in selecting the optimal parameters of the passports of mine workings, providing the necessary operational mode of mine workings, as well as in solving other important geomechanical problems.
