New non-traditional methods of extraction of hard-to-enrich valuable component from mineral raw materials using laser radiation are considered. Theoretical and experimental studies have shown the possibility of integration of precious metal particles during their treatment with laser radiation taking into account their properties and further extraction by traditional methods.
At the 1st International Scientific Conference on Physical Problems of Rock Fracture we presented the results of scientific and technological substantiation of progressive technology of open-pit mining based on a fundamentally new approach to drilling and blasting operations: rock fracturing is carried out by layer-by-layer (from top to bottom) blasting of horizontal borehole charges of reduced diameter (with preliminary slotting along the contour of the blasted volume) under a mobile shelter in the form of a shield with damping elements.
The interest in works devoted to laser impact on energy-saturated compositions (EC) has been steadily increasing recently, which is largely predetermined by the practical needs of creating safe means of initiation of explosives. Conducting research on experimental selection of optimal chemical compositions of ES that meet the requirements of their remote detonation and formation of profiled detonation waves during laser initiation with a given sequence of actuation is quite in demand.
