Crisis of 2008-2009 influenced on the stability of Russian companies. In this connection the problem of business development stability mechanism’s creation became very actual. In the article there is represented the model of gas company’s business development stability mechanism, that is based on the export business-process’ portfolio risk management. This model is based on the theory of portfolio investments and process and risk-management. The aim of the model is to give the instrument of gas company’s export business processes optimization to managers with the idea to reach certain level of the income for the stakeholders with the minimum level of the risk.
In the present moment in Russian and foreign economic science there are many models of business development stability estimation, that are used. These models can’t be used in manager’s operational activity and it doesn’t take into consideration the branch’s specifics of gas industry. It the article there are represented 3 possible models of business development stability and there is made the analysis of advantages and disadvantages of these variants. Also there are made conclusions about the preferred model, that will let to manage the gas company’s stability, that is considered to be the ability of the company to generate incomes for their stakeholders.
The article is dedicated to the topic of use of foreign companies' experience during the process of regional gas companies diversification strategy start-up. This topic is very actual for the current moment, because it helps to solve many problems of the company. The analisys of global energy companies in the sphere of its business diversification is shown in the article. The materials of the rating agency Platts were used in this investigation. The experience of companies from the Platts Rating was used in the process of research. There were found the main global trends of energy market development, some projects of JSC GAZPROM's strategy change in North-West region were suggested. Also as a result of basics and regional gas companies' analisys there was offered a regional gas company's diversification estimation model. Consequent alternative changes and main projects were offered and based on this model.
The article represents the investigation in the sphere of diversification of a regional gas company (with the example of «Peterburgregiongas» LLT). This investigation is very actual, because it helps to solve many problems of the organization and to make true one of the strategic initiatives of the company – to create the united energetic holding on the territory of Saint-Petersburg, Leningrad’s region and the Republic of Karelia. In the article on the analysis of processes in the branch of industry the rightness of the decision to diversify into electric energy is proved. The author gives all possible directions of making true the given conception and proves the priority of investment into the production of energy. Also there are found out and analyzed directions of diversification into production and the result of the preliminary finance and investment analysis of energy production enterprises of the region are given with the preliminary recommendation of choosing the direction of mergers and acquisitions with the aim to diversify the business.
The article focuses on the strategic analysis of diversification of a gas company (on the example of the gas distribution organization Peterburgregregiongaz). This topic is very relevant, as it allows solving many problems of the organization. The main directions of diversification of the company are shown: diversification of sales markets, diversification of suppliers, complex diversification of the company in order to create a single energy holding structure. The scheme of the analysis based on the methods of strategic management is presented, which implies the identification of possible directions of diversification. The results of the first stage of research conducted according to this scheme are given, namely, conducting a comprehensive SWOT-analysis, the main trends existing in the market as a whole, as well as in the company itself are revealed.
