Abstract
A unified mathematical model of the rheological and transport (including diffusion) properties of clayey rocks is considered. A number of model features are analyzed (possibility of abnormally high pressures in underconsolidated clays, presence of flocculation during diffusion in clays, etc.). It is shown that the obtained solutions are in good agreement with the experimental results.
