Optimization of the number of classes when estimating probability distributions of properties of natural objects

Abstract
A review of approaches to determining the number of intervals in the construction of histograms is made. A contradiction between the accuracy and detail of representation of probability distribution curves of properties of natural objects is shown. A new analytical expression for the optimal number of classes that resolves this contradiction is proposed.
