Abstract

Theoretical and experimental studies and accumulated experience of drilling in specific conditions make it possible to determine the main technical directions of improving well drilling efficiency, which result from the necessity to bring in line the type and parameters of drilling tools, system of drilling fines transportation from the well, drilling technology, properties of drilled rocks, fracture products and intensity of their formation. Irkutsk Technical University has developed and implemented at a number of quarries cutting bits with auger cleaning and blowing, lubrication systems, compressed air cooling units.
