Abstract

The article deals with the methodology of improving the reliability of power supply systems in conditions of geographically dispersed loads. The relevance of this issue is explained by the significant damage to mining enterprises due to power supply failures. The proposed methodology is based on the determination of the optimal number of electrical substations at mining enterprises and the connection of collector bus bars of different substations with the help of automatic operation of the reserve. The optimum number of electrical substations is determined using the method of potential functions. This method allows dividing consumers into groups and determining the center of electrical load in each group. Connection of different collector buses of substations increases the reliability of the power supply system of the enterprise as a whole. Calculation of reliability parameters for two variants of the power supply system, as well as their comparative analysis is carried out.
