Gas mixing in laboratory cores

Abstract

The paper presents the results of experiments on methane displacement by nitrogen in a laboratory core. A mathematical model describing mass transfer as a function of gas compressibility and varying flow rate is presented. Dispersity and molecular diffusion coefficients are determined on the basis of this model.
