Abstract
Strategic issues of bringing the domestic mining industry to a competitive global level are outlined. The ways of solving this problem on the example of blasting by radical improvement of explosives and explosive materials, creation of domestic drilling equipment of world level, as well as training of highly qualified engineers and workers for mining.
