Analysis of energy losses in hydraulic stage

Abstract
Energy losses in the flowing channel of a hydraulic turbine are considered. All losses are divided into several groups: profile losses, end losses, volumetric, hydraulic and mechanical losses. Theoretical studies have shown that the main impact on the efficiency is rendered by hydraulic losses, to decrease which blade profiling and enhancement of sealing joint design are required.
