Abstract

Worked out spaces with sufficiently large volume of cavities are not able to reverse air streams in the downcast shafts and adjacent drifts for a long time (up to 90 min) thus creating dangerous conditions for evacuation of miners. An emergency situation has been analyzed on the basis of a ventilation system model.
