Abstract

Before switching to professorship, Ivan Avgustovich was a factory engineer, mechanic and builder for twelve years. As such, he firmly established himself in mining design. His favorite aphorism when criticizing student projects was: “You must make your project so that according to your project the plant can build this structure." The direction of Ivan Avgustovich's thoughts was that he really created an encyclopedia of practical mechanics in all its areas.
