Abstract

When preparing ores for beneficiation, as well as in the construction of various structures, machines for crushing large pieces of rocks are widely used. Among them a prominent place is occupied by the so-called jaw crushers, in which pieces of rocks are crushed by two rectangular jaws (swinging and stationary) periodically pressing on them. For the normal operation of such a crusher it is necessary that when the jaws press on a piece of ore, the latter is not pushed upward by them, but wedged between them. This is not possible at any angle between the jaws, but only at angles smaller than a certain maximum angle.
