Sampling by ore types using the example of the Buron deposit
Abstract
During the study (1953‑1954) of the material composition of ores of the Buron deposit it was found that the volumetric and dotted furrows in the conditions of this deposit in terms of accuracy are not inferior to the furrow of a regular cross‑section (5×2 cm). Productivity of the sampler when sampling by volumetric furrow increases 3 times, and by dotted furrow – 4 times in comparison with productivity of sampling by a furrow of a regular cross‑section, not counting that when sampling, for example, by dotted furrow, the effort and resources for further processing of samples are saved, since at the same length of the furrow, the weight of a dotted sample is 2.3 times less than that of a furrow sample. No fewer opportunities are opened up by the development and introduction of some new methods of sampling.
