The paper analyses the parameters of deep oxidation of zinc and tin by copper (II) compounds and molecular iodine in the presence of molecular oxygen and hydrogen peroxide, as second oxidizers working synchronously with them in various media (aqueous, aqueous-organic and organic) with the participation of mineral and carboxylic acids close to room temperature. The contribution of the reactivity of the metal to its rate of consumption, especially the average, is often much less than the contribution associated with the release characteristics of the working surface, determined by the rates of accumulation of surface deposits of metal oxidation products, their strength and adhesion characteristics their destruction and shifting into the bulk phase.
The estimation of efficiency of metallurgical production diversification on the basis of economic-mathematical model of synchronous investment and production planning is considered, restrictions on the parameters of financial and economic sustainability are imposed. As an indicator of financial and economic sustainability the indicator of gross value added growth is accepted.
The main types of titanium-containing raw materials of the mineral resource base of the Russian Federation are considered. To solve the problem of production of metallic titanium, its alloys and titanium dioxide in terms of quantitative and qualitative parameters, it is proposed to use and introduce into the national economic turnover both old and new types of titanium-containing raw materials. It will allow to provide our industry with own titanium mineral raw materials, more fully use the existing capacities for production of titanium sponge, metal and alloys, organize large-scale production of titanium pigments, significantly increase export supplies and expand their assortment.
Theoretical foundations of company diversification, both production diversification and product diversification, are considered. The necessity of diversification of OAO Kola Mining and Metallurgical Company is substantiated due to the limited local copper and nickel ores, fluctuations in the world metal market, the possibility and expediency of maximum use of the previously created production potential. In addition to the production of nickel, copper and cobalt, OAO Kola MMC proposes to organize the production of metallic titanium and its alloys, pigment titanium dioxide, metallic chromium and its alloys, ferrovanadium and other types of products with higher added value. This will contribute to the economic efficiency of operation and sustainability of the company.
