Principles of rational organization of information retrieval systems

Article preview

Development of developed information support is one of the most important problems arising in the creation of automated control systems (ACS). The need to organize extremely large arrays of diverse information and operational reference to them (recording, reading, information search, processing) requires inclusion in the composition of the ACS complex and multifunctional information retrieval system (IRS).

Device for displaying graphical information from the computer

Article preview

One of the disadvantages of the existing practice of using computers for processing geological data is the lack of devices for outputting information in graphical form. Two main functions of graphic output devices can be distinguished: 1) fixing of final results of calculations (documentation); 2) display of information for the purpose of operative estimation of results of the previous stage of iteration when solving problems by the selection method. These functions determine the technical parameters of the device: in the first case the accuracy of graphical constructions is determinant, in the second case - the speed of.

Modeling of work of railway transport of coal mines

Article preview

Application of computer technology is one of the ways to improve the operational management of railway transport at powerful coal mines with a large number of mining equipment and a developed network of railway tracks. Preliminary determination of the effectiveness of new methods of management is best to produce modeling the work of the mines. At the same time, an idea of the effectiveness of new methods and systems of operational management is given by comparing the results of modeling and the results of actual operation of the mine. In this paper we consider the essence of modeling by the method of actual shifts, its positive and negative properties and the scope of application ...

Transportation management at coal mines

Article preview

Coal loading at many large coal mines is carried out by excavators directly into the rolling stock of the Ministry of Railways (for example, at Irsha-Borodinsky, Irtyshsky, etc.). The conditions of management of mining operations at these mines differ from those existing at open-pit mines when using their own rolling stock. In the latter case, transportation ensures the operation of excavators. Reducing the turnover time of trains leads to an increase in the productivity of the open pit. Therefore, the shift productivity of the quarry depends on the quality of dispatch control of excavation and transportation processes and can serve as one of the indicators to assess the operational management ...

Operational management at open-cut mining works

Article preview

Operational management (OM) deals with issues that require immediate intervention in the course of the technological process. In open-pit mining operations operationally have to manage a single technological process of excavation and transportation of rock mass. OM is part of the overall management process of mining enterprises and ensures the operation of the enterprise for a period of time no longer than a shift or a day.LS tasks differ sharply from the planning or design tasks small time interval during which it is necessary to make a decision. So, if to solve the problems of OU to give at least 1 min, then for a large quarry (for example, Magnitogorsk) it is equivalent to the loss of one working week a year. This difference results in special requirements for EI methods and technical means for their realization. Therefore, it is advisable to separate the issues of OM into a special section of the management of mining enterprises ...

Electrical modeling of the working cycle periods of the impact pneumatic machine

Article preview

A number of difficulties arise in the theoretical study of working processes of pneumatic impact machines. The complex character of thermodynamic processes occurring in the cylinder of a pneumatic machine causes the introduction of simplifying schematization. On the other hand, the approximate mathematical methods used to solve the system of differential equations of the working process of these machines introduce additional errors in the final result of the study. In this case, it is impossible to separately assess these errors and prove or disprove the correctness of the adopted schematization of physical phenomena.

Machine estimation of limits of applicability of S. A. Chaplygin's theorem

Article preview

The theorem on differential inequalities of S. A. Chaplygin and its further generalizations give the possibility of evaluating the unknown solution of a differential equation by two comparison functions from above and below. This method is very effective for approximate determination of the motion trajectory of electromechanical systems or for estimation of additional motion caused by deviation of actual values of the system parameters from the calculated ones. However, the widespread use of methods based on the theorem of S. A. Chaplygin is hindered by difficulties in determining its limits of applicability.

About one method of investigation of dynamics of nonlinear electromechanical systems

Article preview

In engineering calculations of dynamics of automatic control systems, the problem of determining the area of permissible parameter changes usually arises. For linear systems it is possible to obtain such a region by repeated machine solution of the system equation of motion or with the help of indirect methods (frequency, integral criteria, etc.). For nonlinear systems, this problem is often reduced to the construction of the area of permissible changes in the forms of nonlinear links, so indirect methods are either not applicable at all, or have an algorhythm that is too complicated for practical application. The method of multiple partial solutions for nonlinear systems is obviously possible only in a few special cases. A number of similar problems are reduced to the task at hand: determining the influence of neglected couplings and the legitimacy of this or that approximation, estimating the accuracy of the approximate solution of the system's equation of motion, etc.

Simplified method of calculation of transients in magnetic amplifiers with self-saturation

Article preview

Magnetic amplifiers (MU) with self-saturation due to a number of advantages are widely spread in automation circuits. The development of simple enough methods of calculation of transients in such circuits is an actual task. Since one of the most effective ways to study the dynamics of autoregulation systems is electromodeling, when developing engineering methods of calculation it is advisable to provide for the possibility of using serial electromodeling installations.

Application of S.A. Chaplygin's theorem to the estimation of electromodeling error

Article preview

At electromodeling of nonlinear systems there arises a problem of estimation of methodical error of the model connected with approximate fulfillment of the given functional dependencies and perturbing forces. This error, called dynamic approximation error, is inevitable when using serial electromodeling devices and can exceed other components of the error in magnitude.
