Due to the involvement of poorer ores in production, the capacity and share of beneficiation equipment in the industry is constantly increasing, and issues of its safety are becoming increasingly important.
To date in the non-metalliferous industry there is no scientifically substantiated list of design deficiencies of process equipment from the point of view of safety. Insufficiently studied the degree of danger of individual units and mechanisms, the influence of individual factors on the level of injury hazard and on the severity of injuries, as well as on the effectiveness of various methods and technical means of ensuring the safety of equipment.
In the problem of increasing the reliability of mining machines during their operation the leading role belongs to the systems of preventive maintenance (PMR). With the development of reliability theory and computers, the main direction of improving the systems of preventive maintenance is associated with the application of mathematical methods, with the formalization of the maintenance process ....
The study of operational reliability of heavy-duty dump trucks BelAZ-540 and BelAZ-548A was carried out in extremely difficult natural and climatic conditions of apatite mine “Tsentralny”, located in the center of Khibiny at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level. Reliability analysis was performed on the basis of data for 1970-1971. Only relatively serious failures of vehicles, which required at least two hours for their elimination (including the time for fault detection, dump truck travel to the repair shop and the time of all operations related to repair), are taken into account, since there is practically no information on smaller failures.
In coal pits, the most productive method of blast drilling, in which rocks are destroyed by the principle of cutting, is becoming more and more widespread. The main disadvantage of this principle is the rapid blunting of rock-destroying tools.
Improvement of drilling operations and reduction of their costs is one of the urgent tasks of the Estonian oil shale deposit. The volume of overburden limestone drilling for the quarries of the Estonian Oil Shale Trust amounted to 501 600 m of 115 mm diameter blast holes in 1964. With the commissioning of new quarries the drilling volume will increase to 1.2 million meters per year ...
