Methods of hydrogeochemical mapping of karst territories

Article preview

Hydrochemical mapping of areas formed by karst rocks has a number of specific features. We propose a methodology of hydrochemical mapping on the example of some regions of the Urals (Ufa plateau), which reflects the chemical type of water, mineralization fields, the predominance of micro-components, water sources with violations of sanitary and hygienic standards.

Features of karst processes by the example of the Urals

Article preview

Karst process is considered as a particular manifestation of hydrogenesis processes, characterized by high uneven intensity in different vertical hydrodynamic zones. Anti-karst protection measures have been developed, which are implemented in the territories of mining and transport highways.

Engineering-geological issues of Orenburg gas condensate field development

Article preview

The Orenburg gas condensate field is located in the zone of articulation of such large tectonic elements of the Earth's crust as the Volga-Ural anteclise, the Pre-Caspian syneclise and the Pre-Ural margin talrough. The deposit is confined to the Orenburg Shaft uplift, which is consistent with the Sol-Iletsky ledge of the crystalline basement. ...
