This paper continues research into the state of reactive power compensation at oil-production enterprises. Operation mode of a pump jack is analyzed in order to assess changes in active and reactive power per cycle. A typical work cycle scheme of balanced pump jack was modeled. A curve of active and reactive power changes per working cycle was build for the corresponding pump jack with application of the graphical analytic method.
