The summary: in the article dependence between the sentence and the personal - time form of a predicate is traced on a lexical material of the English and Russian of languages, examples of both rigid dependence in some cases, and insignificant influence of a predicate on the typology of the sentence have been presented.
The article describes some peculiarities of lexical units, idioms, adages and their meanings functioning in the English and Russian languages.
The most wide-spread cases of using lexical units, grammatical structures and social-cultural things, which are difficult for students to translate from Russian into English and vice versa, are presented in this paper.
