An advanced method of ultra-wide band electromagnetic ground penetrating probing has been developed. This method enables the running of geological probing measurements from both the surface of the land and the boring face during construction of tunnels up to a depth of one hundred meters, and in special cases, even deeper. Portable equipment of low weight is used for these underground radar measurements. Total weight is not more 15 kg. Time of geological cut measurement and its data processing is approximately 3 hours for probing depths of about 70 m.
In the central part of Jordan Kingdom, on block AUG22, on oil shale’s deposit geophysical researches have been executed. The central problems of researches were finding of oil shale’s layer position in block’s surveys between boreholes drilled earlier; differentiation of shale’s on rather «rich» and «poor» differences under the content in them of shale oil. For solving this problems researches by a geophysical method electromagnetic pulse ultra wide band (UWB) sounding were spent. Area of geophysical researches comprised 12 km2. Points of geophysical measurements on block placed in such a manner that the step of researches to a compartment with boreholes would make about 400х400 m.
