Distributed systems of regulation of thermal regime of mines and ore-makers of the North

Article preview

Systems of regulation of a thermal conditions of air of mines of the north in which energy sources have an any arrangement on length of developments are investigated. Optimum distances between sources by criterion of economy of energy on air condition in mine are certain. Laws of an arrangement of energy sources are established at the constant and variable charge of air in development.

Method of structural-geological forecast at processing of space images in the task of optimization of search for mineral deposits

Article preview

The method is based on the formal lineament decoding the half-tone field of brightness of multispectral satellite slides. It includes the procedures of point of extremum tracing, rotation and generalization with using angular and dispersion criteria. The result is the set of structure-tectonic maps of different level of generalization. These maps are additionally processed for discovering the factors of structural control of ore objects of different ranges. Here the leading criteria are the periodicity, the areas of discordant relationship, and the singularities on the branches of logarithmic spirals. Such approach admits the forecast implementation with the information about reference objects and without this one.

Influence of processes of hypergenic metamorphization of technogenic massifs on the degree of their environmental danger for the environment

Article preview

The author studied different technogenic massifs of various geneses containing sulphide sulphur and the research results have shown that under the influence of natural and man-caused factors mineral waste is subjected to weathering processes and transformation into new crystalchemical phases, which facilitates dispersion of toxic elements and their migration with ground waters. Studies help to establish that acid rock drainage formation and migration of pollutants is determined by physical and chemical metamorphization processes in infiltration waters. Ecological hazards from sulphide-bearing rock massifs are most adequately estimated with application of the acid indexing express-method.

Development of effective methods of reclamation of highly toxic technogenic massifs of enterprises of mineral and raw materials complex

Article preview

The paper presents result of monitoring toxic technogenic massifs of the OJSC «Mikhaolovskiy GOK» Company and the LLC «Severonickel» Company. Their technogenic influence on various environmental components is assessed. New reliable environmentally-safe and economically efficient ways of technogenic massif reclamation are suggested based on formation of protective screens made of polymer materials sintered with the massif rocks. An optimal screen formation technology is selected as the result of research carried out in test areas.

Regularities of reaction of aquatic communities to technogenic impact

Article preview

The analysis of possible variants of hydroecosystems change at various types anthropogenous successions is lead. Dependences normalized well-being functions of water community from resulting level of the technogenic influence defined by parameter Y are established. The equation describing water communities reaction on that type of technogenic influence, which most typical for the large industrial enterprises (including – the enterprises of a mountain-metallurgical complex) is offered.

Complex of measures on restoration of quality of natural environment on industrial object

Article preview

The results of the researches of soil pollution on the territory of artificial site (bunkering base) have been presented. A recultivation measures to ameliorate the soil quality have been suggested. The main idea of recultivation includes: eliminations of pollution course; remediation of the soil by artificial aeration and regulation of humidity by the drainage system of petrocontaining waters with its subsequent treatment.

Problems and prospects of development of diamond mining industry of Russia

Article preview

The basic problems of the Russian diamond-mining industry development in modern economic conditions are: instability of diamond production demand; necessity of significant investments (180 billion dollars) for construction new mines and modernization of enterprises; unstable position of lapidary and jeweler branches; inefficient state regulation; necessity to increase the financing of geological prospecting works. Demonopolization of the diamond market has led to competition strengthening between independent manufacturers. In this connection, prospects of the Russian diamond-mining industry development directly connected with its competitiveness. The analysis of the Russian diamond-mining industry competitiveness has shown presence of its stable and steady position in the world market and favorable development prospects. Steady development of the diamond-mining company in the long term depends on its ability to predict and flexibly react to changing conditions of an external environment, to keep and get new competitive advantages.

Dust control at coal enterprises of the North

Article preview

In Saint Petersburg State Mining Institute series of measures aimed at protection of environment from harmful impact of technological processes during open-cast mining and underground operation of coal, which is the most popular power resource for today are carried out. In future coal will be one of the main resource, as its supply may satisfy the needs of all branches of industry for a long period of time. The problem of stable maintenance with a heat and electric energy of the north remote territories, settlements, objects of ability to live of the person is stubborn in a modern level of development of a fuel and energy complex of Russia. Application of new technologies on use of local renewed energy sources in small energetic will allow to approach essentially manufacture of energy to the consumer and to involve in manufacture of heat and an electricity alternative kinds of fuel.
