Abstract

The necessity and expediency of geothermal resources development are substantiated. Objective and subjective reasons for the slow development of geothermal energy are considered. Shortcomings are analyzed and some ways of their elimination in geological exploration, evaluation of resources, reserves of geothermal energy and technology of geothermal fields development are proposed.
