Abstract

Modern problems of designing power supply systems are considered. The method of constructing load maps using the method of potential functions and the method of determining the most profitable number of power substations using the target function are shown. The results of constructing the load chart with the use of software package MathCAD 2001 are presented. The optimal number of electric power substations is determined by the given target function of expenses. The method of choosing the variant with the optimal number of electric power substations and constructing two-dimensional image of potential function of receivers loads for this variant. Recommendations on the selection of optimal locations of electrical substations and the optimal allocation of electric consumers to individual electrical substations are given. The necessity of using modern software in the design of power supply systems was substantiated.
