Abstract

The paper presents the results of the study of the impact of seismic blast oscillations on buildings and structures during blasting operations at the Kamennogorsk opencast colliery. Based on the results of the analysis of seismic blast vibration measurements registered by the seismic monitoring station, a forecast estimation of the intensity of seismic blast vibrations was carried out and a number of recommendations on its reduction by changing the blasting scheme and regulation of the deceleration time were given. The assessment was carried out on the basis of seismograms of mass explosions carried out during 2001.
