Abstract

As a result of analysis of various factors affecting the process of leaching of Guinea bauxite, the most important factors determining the efficiency of the leaching process were selected: process temperature, concentration of Na 2 O K , caustic modulus α a , weight of lime addition. It was found that temperature is the most effective factor, because as it increases, the diffusion coefficient increases and the viscosity of the solution decreases. The efficiency of the leaching process increases with increasing alkali concentration, the value of α a and lime addition. The results of the study allow selecting optimal conditions for the leaching process, minimizing energy consumption and calculating consumption factors of alkali and limestone, which will be used to create a mathematical model of the process.
