Abstract
The equations describing the motion of liquid with different acidity in quartz through and dead-end capillaries are presented. Two stages are observed in the process of liquid sorption: high speed of the first one is determined by viscous resistance of liquid, in the diffusion stage the process speed decreases noticeably. The rate of capillary rise of liquid in vertical through cylindrical capillary is described by Washburn equation. Examples of impregnation of through and dead-end capillaries with liquids of different pH are presented. The impregnation rate of solutions in acid medium is higher than in alkaline medium.
