Abstract

For more than 20 years, designers have been developing a tubular belt conveyor with significant advantages. Presented is the design of a tubular belt conveyor based on a belt conveyor designed by OAO "VNIIPTMASH". Loading of bulk cargo in the tubular belt conveyor is carried out at a speed close to the speed of the belt, which reduces dust formation. On the track, the belt is coiled into a pipe by support rollers. The belt with the load coiled into the pipe can bend both horizontally and vertically. At present, the problem of traction calculation of a tubular belt conveyor has not been solved, because the coefficient of resistance to movement of such a belt inside the roller support is not known. Determination of the coefficient of resistance to belt movement will allow to perform traction and strength calculations of the conveyor belt.
